Knog Blinder 1

October 16, 2012

The new Knog Blinder 1 is almost certainly the best cheap, little bicycle light on the market!

Small, surprisingly bright, easy to attach, and, best of all, USB rechargeable:

And, because it’s a Knog product, there’s an abundance of silicone and a dizzying array of colors and styles:

Admittedly, $25 per light and $45 per pair is a little steep to be called “cheap”, but the long term savings should appeal to even the thriftiest cyclist.

Can these help you see, or just be seen?

These lights are just for being seen.

Rechargeable lights for illumination are generally a LOT more expensive, but good commuter light prices are dropping every year.

Any suggestions on a good cheap mountain bike light? I have a decent one, but it’s old and weighs a lot. Looking to upgrade without having to spend a lot. Thanks.

Good lights for trail riding at night are rarely cheap. In the famous words of Keith Bontrager, “Strong, light, cheap; pick two.”

That said, I’ve heard good things about Raleigh-based Lumintrek, but I have no experience with their lights, so do your homework.
