Mount Eerie

September 18, 2012

Listening to the music of Mount Eerie is like listening to a radio with a dial that drifts back and forth between stations, sometimes tuning in to several stations at once: melodic themes fade in and out across a backdrop of traditional pop balladry, black metal, ambient drone, and static tides.

Mount Eerie released a pair of albums this year, Clear Moon and Ocean Roar.  Each album is a complete work, but the synergistic relationship between the albums magnifies their effect.

Mount Eerie will be performing at the Duke Coffeehouse in Durham on Wednesday, September 19th at 9pm.
