Gifts for Cyclists

December 14, 2011

The end of the year gift-giving tradition can be a frustrating and stressful occasion for folks if they’re having a hard time finding the right gifts for the loved ones on their list.

Luckily, cyclists are relatively easy to find gifts for.  From cheap stocking stuffers to budget busting superbikes, there should be something in the shop for everyone:

Common things like lights, tools, pumps, and books are great for nearly all cyclists.

Bells, racks, and fenders are useful items that commuting cyclists always appreciate.

Trail riders are always looking for the “latest, greatest” tire, but a rad movie like “Life Cycles” is much less expensive and a good way to stay stoked during the wet months of winter.

Roadies always like things that are light and carbon like wheels, handlebars, and seatposts, but new handlebar tape is a cheap way to make a bike feel much nicer.

If in doubt, there’s always a gift certificate to your cyclist’s favorite local bike shop.

As a group, cyclists generally have a better understanding than most that true happiness is in “doing” more than “having”, so if you’re stumped, don’t stress, just go for a bike ride!
