Occupy Orange County Jail?

The Book of Faces has been all atwitter with gossip stemming from last night’s SWAT team raid on the Yates Motor Co. building in downtown Chapel Hill.  I’ve got at least 2 cents to throw in.

What has most frustrated the national Occupy movement’s critics is the lack of a unified message.  But, this is exactly what I find most interesting about it, the message is open to interpretation.

Up until now, Chapel Hill’s town government and police force have practically welcomed the diversity of voices that the Occupy movement represents; an encouraging tactic considering the violent repression exercised in other towns.

Yesterday’s SWAT team assault on the Yates Motor Co. Occupiers was a disappointingly ham-fisted response for a town that prides itself on promoting dialogue rather than exiling dissenters.
