Fat Bike Season

When the Surly Moonlander is parked in front of the bike shop, it has a magnetic pull on passerby who simply must know, “Where do you ride that bike?!”

Folks never seem totally satisfied with the answer, “Wherever I want.”, so I’m usually compelled to give a more detailed response about the type of terrain the bike is designed to float through (snow, sand, etc.), but “Wherever I want.” really is the best answer because this bike will roll over anything!

Though we may not have the snow of Minnesota, we do have trails that will stay muddy through March, and riding wet trails wreaks havoc on their long term health, but if you’ve got tires like these, who needs a trail?
